Honor 5C powered with Kirin 650, 16nm chipset launched in India at Rs.10, 999

Press Release: Honor, Huawei’s Smartphone e-brand for digital natives, today launched the Honor 5C in India. The highly anticipated product packs the unmatched Kirin 650- 16nm processor which is the fastest processor available in the segment. In line with it philosophy of “Dare to Perform” the Honor 5C promises enhanced performance, faster processing and optimum battery usage. Honor 5C, will be available in three colors – gold, silver and grey). Pre-orders at the Honor store and Flipkart start from 15:00 hours on 22nd June 2016. The flash sale for Honor 5C will open on 30th June and again on the 7th July at 1400 hrs. Honor also debuted in the tablet category and showcased a new tablet- Honor T1 7.0. Honor T1 7.0 comes with a 4100 mAh battery for a sustained usability.

The Honor 5C promises its consumers a plethora of enhanced features and propositions like reduced power consumption by 70%, and increased battery life. It also features professional photography modes which will allow users to adjust shutter speed and control exposure. The phone also boasts about dynamic fingerprint scanner for better security mechanism and an elegant metallic design which matches the aesthetics of any premium phone.

Honor is poised to launch a range of products across various categories and price segments. With these product offering, Honor is looking forward to strengthen its hold in the budget-mid segment smartphone category and the budget Tablet category.

Honor would be providing its customers with regular software updates to ensure access to latest and most up-to-date product experience. In August last year, when the government and Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD) urged the smartphone manufacturers to check feasibility of embedding such feature in the smartphone, Honor, became the first to respond to the request. The R&D Center in Bangalore innovated this functionality and today, Honor smartphones sold in the Indian market already come embedded with a SOS feature.

Honor 5C is a phone comes with a powerful Kirin 650 16 nm chipset. This 16 nm chipset offers lightning-fast performance compared with previous-generation 28 nm chipsets. The gaming experience becomes better with powerful Mali-T830 GPU which ensures seamless gaming experience with 100% increase in GPU performance compared with previous-generation Kirin 620. Honor 5C offers a smooth user experience thanks to rapid eMMC 5.1–based flash memory chip and all-new EMUI 4.1 OS. 74% screen-to-body ratio. The fingerprint Identification is 2.0 with 0.5 seconds unlocking speed and the display is 1920 x 1080 pixel (423 PPI), 16.7 million color, and full HD IPS display with improved color reproduction.

The phone features 13 MP rear cameras and 8 MP front camera with BSI sensor with ten different beauty modes. SmartImage 3.0 image processor with a variety of creative filters and shooting modes: Light Painting mode gives you manual control of the shutter for long exposure shots, Professional mode provides a range of DSLR-style camera settings, and Document adjustment automatically crops and straightens images of documents. On the whole Honor 5C has aircraft-grade aluminum-alloy body and integrated speaker box with smart power amplifier and bottom-speaker design.

Honor T1 7.0 is a light weight Tablet that comes with a 4100 mAh long batter life. This tablet also offers 20 hours of 3G calling and 12 hours of video experience. The display is 1024×600 IPS which has a multitouch screen and the Spreadtrum SC7731G comes with an A7 quad core processor which incorporates 1.2GHz per core integrated chip.
